Due to the COVID-19 situation, President Van Alstyne sent out the following note to members.
Compatriots, in this time of caution and change and in keeping with the direction of our State and National Societies, I think it best that we cancel our April Meeting. I would ask Compatriot Stoddard to be prepared to speak at our next meeting, currently scheduled for May 14th. I hope to see all of you there, safe and sound.
For those who were unable to attend the March meeting, we voted to hold our next meeting at Smoky Q (1850 Bald Ridge Marina Rd, Cumming, GA 30041). This locally owned establishment has promised to not only remain open for our sole use but to return 10% of all checks from our meeting as a donation to the Chapter. Compatriot Stoddard, please let them know that we still plan to hold our next meeting at their location and I urge all members to do their best to support small and local businesses in this time of stress and constant change.
I’m sure Compatriot Tindall would encourage us all to hold our nation and its people in our thoughts and prayers as we navigate this latest threat to our proud nation. Let us embody the strength and composure of our forefathers and lead through this time
Stay safe and healthy, Compatriots!Chip Van Alstyne, President Robert Forsyth Chapter, GASSAR
